**Qualification:**
• Chartered Accountant preferred
• ICWA or LLB
**Experience:**
• 03-05 years’ experience in indirect taxes profile in consulting and industry
• audit experience during article ship
**Knowledge & skills:**
• Technical knowledge of Customs, GST, State VAT, State excise Acts
• Execution excellence
• Influence and engage - Relationship Building & Interpersonal Awareness
• Exposure to complex business environments
* Experience of working in a matrix organization
* Risk management and controls, budgeting, financial analysis
*Group and local financial reporting
*Worked extensively with tax counsels and consulting firms

**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
**PERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE / QUALITATIVE)**
**1. Business partnering (East region)**
• Advising business on indirect tax implications for various contracts entered and reorganizations
• Acting as first point of contact for business for east region indirect tax issues
• Identifying productivity initiatives and optimizing indirect tax costs
• Exploring opportunities for advance authorisations/Rodtep
• Ensuring refund of indirect tax thru leveraging various schemes under central and state Acts
• Trusted partner to business including supply finance / commercial finance teams
**2. Indirect tax Compliances, process excellence and audits (East region)**
• Supervising filing of indirect tax (GST, VAT etc.) returns and timely payment of indirect taxes
• Strengthening indirect tax processes including leveraging technology to automate
• Managing various audit by indirect tax authorities and protecting tax positions including filing of appeals
• Working towards technology solution to achieve C/ F Forms automation
• Managing statutory audits / GST audits including PPR analysis of risks and preparation of various schedules
• Ensure that robust contingency, risk management, and business continuity plans are in place
**3.Disputes management and resolution, advisor (East region)**
• Protecting tax positions taken before appellate authorities
• Evaluating amnesty schemes to resolve disputes
• Working closely with tax counsels and advisors
• Working papers and advises to support the risk analysis of the matters in dispute
