Supervises and directs the Reliability Engineers and Inspection Services. Responsible for managing an effective mechanical integrity program that promotes equipment reliability, process safety, and compliance with company and OSHA PSM standards. Develops and implements reliability improvement plans and assists in driving the reliability initiatives with Maintenance.Promotes environmental and safety goals of Valero.Maintains monthly communication meetings with complex team to present/discuss new procedures, KPI’s, training and best available technology.Oversees implementation and sustained use of preventive and predictive maintenance to achieve departmental goals.Utilizes the Engineering and Specialist staff to provide required operator training and to develop equipment standardization guidelines to allow for a reduction in spares inventory.Identifies parameters/limits for the safe operation of fixed equipment.Collects and monitors sufficient inspection data and provides prompt feedback when equipment limits are approached or exceeded.Provides sufficient notice to site leadership for equipment requiring inspection.Notifies site management of any past due inspections and provides recommendations for corrective action.Establishes and maintains Mechanical Integrity work processes, procedures,and recommended practices to improve fixed equipment reliability. Ensures adequate systems are in place to effectively transfer this information to all impacted individuals.Identifies gaps within the Mechanical Integrity program and maintains a gap closure program that incorporates a continuous improvement cycle.Establishes, analyzes, and distributes KPIs that provides useful information that can be used for program improvements.Communicates issues and opportunities related to fixed equipment reliability to the site organizations.Ensures qualified inspection personnel are utilized to provide meaningful data which will be used to make informed decisions regarding fixed equipment mechanical integrity.Ensures that knowledgeable reliability and inspection staff are performing appropriate activities using effective engineering and decision-making tools and methods that align with CTEMS and applicable standards.Provides direct supervision and leadership to reliability and inspection staff, including assignment and work schedule, monitoring performance, coaching and mentoring, and assuring the quality of work performed by reliability andinspection staff.Approves schedules, deferrals, fitness-for-service evaluations, inspection plans,

Bachelor of Science degree (or higher degree) in Mechanical Engineering required.10 years of specific refinery related experience with exposure and responsibilities in the maintenance/engineering areas required.5 years of supervisory experience required.Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
