Manager-Respiratory Support
Overview Job Summary Manages the overall delivery of assigned services by coordinating personnel and activities in order to accomplish timely and accurate performance of diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. This position is under the general direction of the administrative director of area. Incumbent is responsible for all functions in assigned areas 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Job Responsibilities + Manages daily operational functions through scheduling and evaluation of personnel, assessment of equipment, acquisition of supplies, and organizing of clinical/clerical activities in order to deliver efficient and accurate patient care. + Prepares, recommends, and manages operational, personnel, and capital budgets by monitoring financial activities to ensure appropriate productivity and resource management. + Manages performance improvement activities by Participating in development of performance improvement plan for assigned area to ensure quality is consistent with established standards. + Provides and supports learning needs through direction of educational activities that promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards. Experience Minimum Required Five years’ experience in the Respiratory Care field and additional training or experience in the use of Project Management Tools or supervisory experience. Experience and knowledge of equipment. Education Minimum Required Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program- An Associate degree in Respiratory Care and Education. Licensure Minimum Required Current Registered Respiratory Therapist, Valid State Therapist License, Basic Life Support Certification within 14 days of hire date. If set to YES, then this position has the authority (delegated) to hire, terminate, discipline, promote or effectively recommend such to manager.
