Summary:
The Revenue Growth Management (RGM) team supports sales and the BU to help set pricing, trade, and cost strategy for customers and the business. RGM sets direction for all business opportunities for Foodservice. We are seeking an individual to join our team as a customer pricing manager.
This role is ideal for candidates who are self-driven, highly analytical problem solvers. They enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment to develop winning solutions for both Tyson and our customers. In order to do so, they must partner with and influence both customer account owners (sales) and business owners on the pricing, growth, and cost strategies. The candidate must enjoy a high level of autonomy, seek continuous learning, and want to make direct impact to the bottom line.
Key responsibilities are to partner with Sales & BU teams to set and execute pricing and trade strategies that enable profitable margin and revenue growth for Prepared Foods Food Service. Candidates will build and manage customer P&L's, own and manage customer trade spend and pricing, and conduct analyses to grow business for Tyson and our customers. Candidates will also support the business on cost builds, margin management, optimization projects, and pricing formulas.
Our Manager Revenue Growth Management would be working 100% Onsite at our Corporate Office in Springdale, Arkansas, 1st shift Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Although the Salary Rate for this role is based on experience of the selected Candidate, this role does offer 4 weeks Vacation, a 10% Annual Incentive Plan, 3.50% Annual Salary Review, with great benefits, Medical, Vision, Dental, continued growth & a chance to join a great team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide customer profitability and financial support for Foodservice customers - High complexity due to multiple trade deals, shifts in operator/distributor buying relationships and the need to understand all business environments.
Support the development of the customer revenue strategy and lead execution of tactical initiatives to achieve AOP objectives.
Develop customer P&L analysis and identify actionable steps to improve bottom line results.
Manage against multiple priorities based on customer demands. Must be very customer focused when prioritizing customer requests as well as in the creativity of financial recommendations to meet customer needs.
Build relationships with key customers and support Sales on contract negotiations and customer specific promotional plans.
Support RFP and contract negotiations and own customer specific contracts and related process improvements.
Support linkage between Customer/Sales/Product/Finance teams in support of AOP and monthly trade analysis / forecasting.
Evaluate and communicate risks and opportunities.
Engage with a wide range of external and internal customers based on assignment.
Analyze planned trade event/contracts to make recommendations for adjustment and future customer plans.
Provide feedback regarding competitive climate to product management.
Assist in development of interns, analysts, and senior analysts to ensure they are growing and preparing for the next role
Act as a CFO for select accounts, understanding what is driving volume & margin, as well as understanding what white space exists for growth
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with a preference towards business, finance, and accounting.
Experience: 4+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, finance, similar job functions, or other applicable experience. Trade and/or pricing experience preferred, with extra consideration for Foodservice-specific experience.
Computer Skills: Excellent analytical skills with sound expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Strong systems and spreadsheet skills, including Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, Blacksmith (or other Trade Performance Management applications)
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Ability to translate business issues into actionable tactics that drive positive results. An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to own their business segment – driving volume growth, pricing, and margin improvements. The ability to work cross-functionally and to manage a large number of complex projects simultaneously with a proven track record of customer focus (both internal and external).
