The Manager, Sales is responsible for driving the Firm’s vision and capabilities in Innovation Funding services to the marketplace. This role engages clients and prospects in a consultative approach to offer tailored solutions, while also expanding and cross-selling within existing relationships. The position involves building and maintaining key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and leading a team to achieve sales targets. This is a role where prior experience in Innovation funding is mandatory (please do not apply if you have no experience in Grants, Capital Allowances, Tax Credits, Tax relief or Patent box applications).

Duties and Responsibilities 

Collaborate with Firm Principals and Practice Leaders on joint-selling initiatives. Support in negotiations, contract development, and due diligence efforts. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key Firm prospects and clients. Conduct outreach through cold calls, emails, and meetings with prospects. Identify, research, and engage new business opportunities, focusing on Innovation Funding services. Maintain CRM records for prospect and client interactions. Leverage industry-specific knowledge to tailor sales approaches for Innovation Funding opportunities. Attend industry events to generate leads. Respond to requests for proposals related to Innovation Funding services. Understand the Firm’s Innovation Funding offerings to communicate effectively with prospects. Keep abreast of industry trends and align them with sales opportunities. Produce necessary documentation for deal closing, such as presentations and contracts. Build and lead a high-performing sales team, offering mentorship and support to achieve individual and team goals. Monitor team performance and conduct regular evaluations to promote growth and improvement. 

​Education and Experience 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience required. Experience in the following is a must (please do not apply if you do not have experience in any of the below):  Grants and/or  Capital Allowance and/or  Energy Tax relief and/or R&D tax credits and/or Patent box

Computer Skills 

Proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM, and Internet research. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Limited supervisory responsibilities, including team training and development, in line with company policies and regulations.
