The position is responsible for overseeing the communication strategies for both field and home office as well as leading change initiatives to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of deliverables and processes that support our internal customers in field sales.
How you’ll spend your dayDevelop and implement a departmental communication plan to ensure proper and timely dissemination of critical information to field sales teams. Lead efforts to gather constructive feedback from field sales teams regarding Sales Operations services through interviews, surveys, and field advisory boards. Collaborate with leadership and other home office cross-functional teams to identify communication needs and develop strategies and tactics to address them. Provide support in creating departmental communications directed to executive leadership. Maintain a master project plan with milestone dates for high priority departmental projects. Lead continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on improving quality and enhancing services for critical Sales Operations deliverables provided to field sales. Establish and maintain KPIs for selected Sales Operations functions to measure performance toward quality & budget goals; includes measuring impact of continuous improvement projects. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in commercial operations and field communications to bring recommendations for innovative approaches to improving operations. Act as a liaison between Sales Operations and other departments to ensure alignment of goals and objectives. Your experience and qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication, or a related field is required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, commercial operations, or a related field; field sales experience preferred.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive change in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with project management. Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry commercial regulations and compliance requirements preferred.Travel Requirements:
Approximately 10% throughout the US.
