The Opportunity
The Manager/Senior Manager will support our Lead Program Manager and our development programs to ensure our team’s success in developing medicines for patients with unmet medical need. In collaboration with the Lead Program Managers, internal functional leaders and scientific subject matter experts, this position will support the integration of tools for tracking, planning, and reporting to drive effective execution of program deliverables. This position will give an opportunity to learn from experienced PMs and be part of how we expand Portfolio Strategy through the commercialization of Avidity lead programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about driving outputs in a timely manner that empower teams to make decisions and progress the program.
What You Will Contribute
Support Lead Program PM to effective decision-making and risk/opportunity scenarios by maintaining accurate project informationWork cross-functionally and support Subteam Leads to track and communicate progress of activities in an integrated project planProduce agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions for Core and Subteam meetingsCreate, organize, and maintain program documents, SharePoint sites, and SmartSheet tools for access and use by the project team Support risk management by identifying and logging risks, gaps, bottlenecks, and critical path activitiesPropose options to close gaps and get projects back on scheduleSupport the management and preparation of outputs for project milestone reviewsDefine, measure, and report key milestones and critical path workstreams for projects, enabling teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectivenessApply Project Management Best Practices in the development, planning, and execution of projects and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
What We Seek
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences or equivalent clinical development experienceMinimum 3-5 years of drug development and program management experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industryTechnical proficiency with project management tools; strong computer skills and experience with software such as SmartSheet, Timeline Pro, Excel and SharePointKnowledge of the clinical drug development process through, experience with filing INDs preferred and experience with NDA/MMA filings a plusAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contractors to drive results and meet company objectivesAbility to manage multiple competing priorities and multiple programs at one timeSelf-directed and proactive with ability to function in a team-based environment, exercise good judgment and respond quickly and effectively to changing environmentsStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill and effectively communicate key messages from complex discussionsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailProject management skills, along with problem solving, negotiation skills, conflict resolution, influencing skills, and team building skillsA background in rare diseases, oligonucleotides or biologics therapeutics a plusWhat We will Provide to You:The base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
