The Global Commercial Services (GCS) US Small Business Marketing team is at the forefront of digital innovation and delivers highly-engaging experiences to prospective business customers. The team strives to attract and convert new business customers through digital touchpoints in order to drive significant revenue growth for American Express. Through the use of innovative paid media tactics and creative, strategic partnerships with leading digital platforms and agencies, and a best-in-class website, the team delivers more than 50% of net new spend acquired from small business customers.
The Small Business Prospect Channels team is hiring a Manager of SEO Strategy to develop and implement the SEO roadmap that will accelerate Small Business Card acquisition. The manager will oversee the SEO viability of our amex.com card shop website. Strong candidates should have a good understanding of Core Web Vitals, industry trends, Google SERP evolution, and keyword research techniques. The Manager of SEO Strategy will shape the future vision and evolution of our website and ensure that SEO plays a critical role in content strategy and execution across the site.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-energy team and gain insight into the B2B digital acquisition journey, while partnering closely with various cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Paid Search, tech, and content hubs across the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead SEO strategy for the Small Business Card site, focused on driving organic traffic and revenue. Work closely with our Card Shop team, tech partners, and external agencies to identify ways of maximizing traffic and optimizing conversion rate Develop test & learn curriculum to identify significant SEO optimizations and forward-looking growth opportunities Partner with key stakeholders to ensure optimized implementation across all Site pages; this includes managing keyword research, on-page optimization, and improvements to page speed and CWV Lead Sr. Analyst on all SEO support, creative, and execution work streams Analyze performance data to inform strategy and uncover organic traffic trends Champion SEO best practices across the organization to improve search for all Enterprise sites; present learnings regularlyMinimum Qualifications:
4-6 years digital marketing experience with strong understanding of SEO practices Strategic thinker who can identify relevant industry trends and apply them to drive business results and innovation Strong project management, storytelling, and organizational skills Demonstrated success building, maintaining and leveraging relationships, plus ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams Exceptional quantitative skills enabling analysis of large amounts of data to create actionable recommendations with measurable value Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously drive and prioritize multiple complex projects Detail-oriented with proven ability to deliver flawless execution Experience leading and coaching high-performing talentPreferred Qualifications:
Technical expertise a plus, including knowledge of technology platforms, systems and capabilities with experience in driving technology projectsEducational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
