Position Overview 

This role is responsible for leading a team of solution consultants, focusing on their retention, development, and career planning. As a key technical partner to the Paylocity sales force, this position supports sales growth and strategic initiatives, ensuring optimal alignment of resources and skillsets to achieve business objectives.

Knowledge and Application:

Utilize expertise to solve problems, make informed decisions, audit and analyze data, and apply knowledge effectively in practical situations.Contribute to and implement strategic plans at the department level, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.Develop and mentor team members, providing educational and experiential growth opportunities.Ensure team members are equipped with relevant customer stories and proof points.

Complexity and Problem Solving:

Analyze complex problems, deconstructing them into manageable components for effective resolution.Assess and manage risks to achieve optimal outcomes, maintaining a focus on performance drivers.Collaborate with various stakeholders and cross-functional partners to address complex challenges.

Exercise autonomy in decision-making, based on a deep understanding of situational needs.Navigate hierarchical channels for necessary approvals, while maintaining ownership and responsibility for outcomes.Apply creative and critical thinking to solve problems and drive strategic initiatives.

Collaboration and Interaction:

Report to and communicate effectively with senior leadership, including managers and directors.Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, leveraging their expertise to achieve team and department goals.Influence change and pivot strategies as goals and objectives evolve, partnering cross-functionally within the organization.Required travel: to Quarterly Business Reviews with sales partners.

Management and Supervision:

Develop team members through personal growth opportunities, mentoring, and coaching.Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results.Evaluate team performance, providing ongoing feedback and conducting annual reviews.Organize and define team roles, set goals, and measure success.Required travel: Attend onsite demonstrations as needed.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales or technical experience.5-8 years of sales experience with SaaS solutionsMinimum of four years’ experience as a solutions consultant or in an equivalent leadership position.Team management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion.Proven track record of delivering results.Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.Ability to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments, and take appropriate action.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $94,500 - $175,500/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for a variable commission plan and an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
