The Navigation, IMU, and Specialty Engineering team is looking for you to join our team as a Specialty Engineering Manager 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
The Specialty Engineering team supports all product areas across the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) business unit encompassing specialty engineering areas such as reliability, maintainability, logistics, and systems safety. This role will focus on management of functional subject matter expertise associated with programs ranging from early development through production. The functional department manager provides personnel management to the team including career development, goal setting, performance reviews, salary planning.
This position is 20% functional management and 80% direct program support. This is a 100% onsite role.

Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 8 years of progressively increasing responsibility and engineering experience or a Masters of Science in a STEM and a minimum of 6 years of progressively increasing engineering experienceExperience in one or more specialty engineering areas, including principles, analyses, and proceduresA proven track record of leading a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program OfficesExperienced in cost estimating using prior actual costs to support engineering Basis of Estimates (BOEs)Proven written and oral communications skillsUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the hiring managerAbility to work onsite, full-time at the Woodland Hills, CA campusPreferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an Engineering disciplineDemonstrated passion for improving employee engagementPrior experience with navigation or cockpit systems programsExperience in the development of military airborne electronicsKnowledge of/experience with emerging (e.g., DO-178) development processesWorking knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and toolsA current Secret ClearanceSalary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
