Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Accountable for managing staff and assisting in daily store operations to directly impact the store's growth and success. **What you will do** + Orders supplies through supply chain and maintains inventory of needed supplies. + Oversees the flow of product through the retail setting. This includes management of the drop-off room, sorting room, storage and retail floor. + Maintains a yearly schedule of seasonal transactions. + Develops awareness of market value of merchandise in order to price clothing and other items at optimal levels. + Acts as a liaison to community groups with the goal of educating community members to the values of the Avera Thrift Shop. + Cooperates with various private companies and government agencies to recycle/upcycle merchandise deemed not sellable. + Creates and maintains systems to sell merchandise in ecommerce settings such as, but not limited to, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, NextDoor, and local ecommerce opportunities. + Manages daily closeout and opening procedures of the sore and point of sale system. Responsible for monthly reporting and monitoring of sales metrics. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
