Position Summary
This position is responsible for understanding and interpreting project technical specifications to ensure compliance and quality in support of a high complexity, high volume Electric Power Strategic Global Customer. This role also involves creating robust supply chain processes in close collaboration with multiple suppliers to guarantee that all products and services meet the specified requirements. Additionally, this role supports internal execution teams and third party installing contractors by providing technical information and guidance to ensure the successful installation and commissioning of equipment. The position may require overtime and weekends.
Position Duties/ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and interpret project technical specifications to ensure compliance and quality.Collaborate closely with suppliers to guarantee that all products and services meet specified requirements. Build out MacAllister’s supply base for custom generator enclosures, negotiating contracts for annual production volumes in excess of $100 million.Simultaneously work with multiple third party enclosure manufacturers to develop complex technical specifications to meet changing customer design requirementsDevelop and manage supply chain and logistical processes, manage inventory, negotiate new supply contracts, and implement strategies to streamline operations and reduce costsSupport internal execution teams by providing technical information and guidance for successful installation and commissioning of equipment.Manage the bidding process of complex standby and advanced energy projects from initial estimation through the commissioning of equipment.Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure products meet specified standards and customer expectations.Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and develop quality control documentation and reports.Monitor and analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution and interpretation of policies and for the successful operation of assigned units. Has authority for hiring and disciplining employees. May be responsible for directing the work of first-line supervisorsPosition RequirementsRequired:
10 years or more of experience in supplier quality, quality management, and related electric power equpment.Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent years of experience (5+ years).8+ years of experience in application and installation of complex standby and prime electric power systems.Previous experience in supply chain management processes and software toolsAdvanced computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD, and Caterpillar programs.Preferred:
