This position works out of our Supply Chain & Logistics area locate at Montehiera, Puerto Rico. Our CFS Supply Chain and Logistics department is responsible for the affiliate logistics and supply chain operations, providing shared services to different business units as: Nutrition, Diabetes Care and Medical Devices, ensuring a proactive and efficient response from end-to-end logistic process.
As the Supply Chain Manager is to oversee and manage the overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize the process efficiency and productivity, providing leadership and developing and maintaining a logistic network, providing a superior service to our customers.
What You’ll Work On
Oversee and manage strategic logistics partnerships, including inbound and outbound distribution, as well as warehousing expenses. Take control of the area's budget, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.Develop strong working relationships with GM’s, Site Directors, BAC, internal functional organizations, and suppliers.Plan and work closely with GPS in the design and execution of RFP, RFQ and bid process for the different warehouses, distribution and logistics services required, promoting and leading a multidisciplinary participation of QA, Regulatory, Security and EHSBeing capable to start up a 3PL warehousing and distribution operation, considering all tactical aspects such as: contracts, providers’ selection, IT and related interphases, regulatory, delivering a seamless execution plan.Deliver continuous improvements across the logistics network to sustain operational excellence and best practices, supporting M&P and ESG projects.Align logistics metrics reporting with internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to achieve and maintain required service levels.Optimizes global network/routes.Implement a robust planning process between affiliate and Planning Centers to ensure the adequate flow of import and export goods to countries maximizing product availability, including the Caribbean DX markets.Guarantee that all customs and trade operations are in compliance with federal and local regulations. Drive best practices in this area in partnership with Global Customs & Trade Compliance organization.Supports customer service execution according to business expected service levels.Provides communication to key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of initiatives.Collaborates with functional areas, including Commercial, Quality Assurance, BTS, EHS, Operations, and Finance.Manages strategic relationships with key logistics partners. Support preparation of budgetary and capital planning for supply chain and logistics, overseeing commercial divisions F&D spend.Lead and implement a comprehensive and actionable Business Continuity Plan at affiliate level, supporting regional and global BCP.Develop people and direct report aligned with Abbott CultureResponsible for 3PL affiliate inventory and maintaining DOH under targeted plans other inventory management responsibilities include minimizing obsolete/excess inventory and maintaining inventory accuracy over targeted levels.Required Qualifications
BS/BA in Engineering, Sciences, Operations Management or other discipline.+5 years in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, transportation, supply planning.+3 years of significant leadership experience managing direct reports.Preferred Qualifications
Excellent negotiation skills for rapport building and influencing stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for initiatives.Ability to deliver and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and other functional areas.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate points verbally, and summaries to key stakeholders, strong written presentations.Apply Now

The base pay for this position is $88,700.00 – $177,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
