Manager - Supply Chain Fulfillment
**Job Description** **Hybrid** - _This role is categorized as hybrid. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU WILL NEED GM IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP (e.g., H-1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.) NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.** **The Role:** As a leader in Supply Chain, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team in one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain Organization: manufacturing/ warehouse operations, supply chain system, and processes, launch execution and scheduling and material management. Position will be responsible for developing operational plans or new processes, in support of the organization’s business strategies with a direct impact on the organization's overall business results. This individual will lead a team and provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure. Typically leads other individual contributors and at times, may lead other people leaders **What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):** + Drives change and develops new policies and processes in support of functional and company strategies. + Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives. + Translates strategies into clear direction for their team. Reprioritizing and reallocating resources as appropriate based on changing business needs. Offers direction to subordinates in accordance with established company policies. + Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers + Champions change management and role models GM’s behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuality and personal diversity. Influences others within and/or outside the organization that are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches + Drives strategy and implementation of large projects impacting multiple departments. + Is accountable for workforce planning, operational and often financial decisions in the area managed. + Assess supplier schedules. + Regularly engages with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or professionals in the same functional peer group to address issues spanning multiple sections and units. + Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions. + Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership + Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation. + Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution. + Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution. + Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out. + Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies. + Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions **Additional Job Description** **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering or similar/related field + Minimum 5 years' experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Warehousing + Must have previous experience working within the Automotive field (OEM preferred) + Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out + Ability to present complex scenarios to leadership + Strong financial understanding **What Will Give You a Competitive Edge** ( **Preferred Qualifications):** + Demonstrated Experience leading a team + Mainframe experience preferred + Experience working with IT infrastructure teams to setup processes + Experience working with a unionized workforce **About GM** Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all. **Why Join Us** We aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
