The Material Program Manager position will support both the Advanced Misson Solutions (AMS) and the Advanced Space Processing (ASP) Operating Units (OUs) by leading all Global Supply Chain (GSC) planning activities for the direct and indirect material, help work material issues, and support program and site needs. 

JOB SCOPE:

Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning and execution of all material and services content for a program or collection of programs.  Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that the appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.

Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontract strategies.

Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material costs, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.

Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.

Additional duties will include but not limited to:

Develop, monitor and is fully responsible for the Program(s) monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecast.Attend program meetings, material review meetings, and other collaborative meetings as necessary.Maintain ownership of the BOA/OPIR program material Bill of Material (BOM) and duties associated with this ownership.Provide input and collaboration for other program material BOMs in conjunction with the IPTs/CAMs for those programs.Brief Senior OU and BU Leadership on material status/issues.Understand all material purchasing requirements.Lead and participate in prime proposal activity and coordinate with Material Estimating and GSC Procurement to ensure adequate pricing for the material BOM.Regular tag ups with MDS BU GSC Procurement Manager and AMS/ASP Subcontract Manager.Coordinate and oversee the Indirect material requirements in conjunction with the MDS BU Operations for Colorado.Develop and maintain good working relationships with other functions to ensure smooth flow of information and requirements planning and placement.Lead and mentor lower-level Planning Specialist.Oversee the Purchase Requisition input for program direct and site indirect requirements.Travel to Boulder, CO, facility for program meetings and support as necessary.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials, and/or services. or a Masters degree with 3+ years of experience.Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, financial systems, FAR, and ITARUS Citizenship

Preferred skills and certifications:

CAM/EVMS certificationActive Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain oneCSCP Certification1ERP/SAP S/4 ExperiencePrior management experience, with ability to coach and mentor other employeesProficient at MS Excel and other MS office software

The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.

Salary Range: $104,600.00 - $156,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
