**Role Summary**
The Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing, is responsible for executing the strategy for routine sourcing and contract management across all spend categories at Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. As a people leader, the Manager, Sourcing leads and establishes priorities for the team to establish structure, and appropriate policies and procedures, to meet all key internal customer requirements, maintain supplier communications and deliver products in a cost-effective manner.
**Key Duties**
+ As a leader in strategic sourcing, this role leads the team in the sourcing process for Alaska Air Group’s routine sourcing projects, including project assessment, strategy development, supplier evaluation and selection, and negotiation of terms to meet quality, cost, and performance targets.
+ Identify, develop, and execute on strategies to continuously improve processes and procedures related to routine sourcing and contract management to drive efficiencies and effectiveness of teams.
+ Supports Sourcing Directors’, their teams, and their business owners to develop routine sourcing strategies to support key commodities.
+ Leverages expert knowledge in negotiations and contracting and leads negotiations with little or no guidance from senior management. Develops a unique end-state to provide Alaska with a supplier-specific competitive advantage that achieves adherence to performance objectives and reduced unit costs or economies of scale while cultivating long-term harmonious supplier relationships. Focus is on total cost of ownership (operating, training, maintenance, warehousing, environmental, quality, transportation costs, etc.).
+ Leads team to critically evaluate the technical, financial, and commercial components of agreements and structures agreements to achieve the best overall business value for the company.
+ Makes recommendations to address broad, cross-divisional business and process improvement opportunities.
+ Develops processes to manage the quality, cost, and performance of key suppliers through the supplier oversight process using effective communication, and building strong working relationships.
+ Responsible for contract management to ensure all relevant contracts are in the contract system, properly organized and accessible, with a contract owner assigned to each. Ensures division is aware of upcoming contract expirations and manages team to complete market exercise to meet the needs of the business.
+ Develops procedures to establish contractual supplier performance management inclusive of process for ongoing business reviews where appropriate.
+ Develops and maintains relationships with division partners; manages internal customer engagement for the sourcing process and related projects.
+ Partners with procurement to support post-sourcing project purchase orders and supplier relationship development.
+ Influences across Alaska and Horizon and several levels up to build cross-divisional consensus that balances operational objectives with financial responsibility.
+ Collaborates with financial, planning & analysis team to support divisional budgets, variance reviews, and financial analysis required for capital and expense project needs.
**Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills**
**Required**
+ 5 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related area.
+ 2 years of leadership experience
+ A demonstrated track record of developing strong customer/supplier relationships and high-performing teams
+ Proficiency in discerning various types of agreements common within Procurement and Sourcing (e.g., NDA’s, Pricing Letters, Stocking Programs, Master Service Agreements, Purchasing Agreements.), including working knowledge of common contractual elements within these agreements and leverage points within agreements.
+ Demonstrated competence in change management techniques and challenging the status quo.
+ Ability to conduct research and complete financial analyses
+ Ability to build influence across departments around company strategies.
+ Proven track record of developing and sustaining strong customer and supplier relationships.
+ Negotiation and contract management experience.
+ Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings and developing and delivering presentations.
+ Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing processes, including requests for information, quotes, proposals (RFI/RFQ/RFP) writing, scoring, and analysis.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Minimum age of 18.
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
**Preferred**
+ Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), or other supply chain professional certification is preferred.
+ Demonstrated change management skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
+ Experience negotiating high-value contracts, specifically maintenance service and/or support agreements.
+ Experience working with aircraft maintenance service providers.
+ Experience with financial analysis of complex supplier proposals.

**Salary Range**
$113,200 - $169,800 / year
**Salary Details**
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
**Note:** We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
