Manager System Contracting

The Manager System Contracting will work closely with the Director of System Contracting, participating in all third party payer negotiations and will be the key responsible individual on select payer contracts. The Manager System Contracting will assist in contracting by providing intellectual talent on payer and reimbursement strategies as they relate to the healthcare sector. This position will interact with and provide reimbursement guidance to each facility’s executive leadership team. + Complete all aspects of select payer contracts, from inception to Site-level acceptance. + Participate in all third party payer contract meetings. + Take the lead role in coordinating select major payer contract negotiations, working collaboratively with the Director of System Contracting to complete approval. + Administer the process to monitor contract renewal dates and other notification requirements. + Participate in professional activities and maintain professional affiliations to keep abreast of current trends/changes in healthcare legislation, initiation and influencing change as appropriate. + Provide competent management and leadership to staff and management in area of responsibility. + Maintain professional relationships and convey relevant information to other members of the healthcare team within facility and any applicable referral agencies. + Objectively appraise and analyze the qualifications and performance of others as well as plan and direct their activities based on level of training, experience and accountability of the person. + Report on changing directives/policies/activities to those who require information, including executive staff, administrators, physicians, management staff, and other staff. + Work cooperatively with all levels of management and staff and provide leadership with efforts to accomplish team and organizational goals. + Solicit key stakeholder participation in matters that affect the goals and objectives of the organization across all geographical locations of the system. + Attend or facilitate required meetings with adequate preparation to support Health System’s position and conduct an effective meeting. + Initiate an annual review of unit/area-based scope of care/service statement and recommend important elements for review or change. + Develop indicators, thresholds, study methods, and data collection as needed for Performance Improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility. + Identify and take action to respond to problems/opportunities to improve care/service within the framework of organizational goals. + Maintain and exhibit accountability for own continued professional development and competencies. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Qualifications:** + Education: Bachelor's Degree + Experience: 5 year's experience. **What’s in it for you** At St. Luke’s, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission – and this includes our own SLHS team.
