Overview The PB CDI Manager works to strategically plan, organize, and evaluate the PB Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Program. This includes management of pre-visit provider support, post-visit provider review, collaboration with providers and coding team, and education of providers. The manager oversees the Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (CDIS) in planning, implementing improvements, provider outreach, and re-evaluating processes to keep staff engaged and to assist in meeting department goals. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN or RN licensure preferred or CCS-P, CPC, CRC, CDEO, or other coding credential certification required. Minimum 2 years� experience in clinical documentation improvement preferred. Minimum 1-year supervisory experience. Prior CDI experience required. Clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to review the medical record to identify information not yet documented but supported by clinical indicators or clinical clues. Utilizing critical thinking and sound judgment in decision-making processes, balancing reimbursement considerations with regulatory compliance. Ability to function in a highly impactful, fast-paced environment. Flexibility in prioritization a must. Understanding of E/M level guidelines and CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment Model. Clear understanding of coding guidelines for compliance purposes. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong leadership skills.
