Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a critical component of the Missile Defense System. It enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations, observe battle developments, and manage networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability, optimizing responses to threats across all phases of flight. It is integral to all system ground and flight tests, verifying and exercising current and future missile defense capabilities.

Essential Functions:

As a Systems Engineering Manager 1, you will play a crucial role in managing an on-site team providing engineering support from Colorado Springs, CO. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading a team of direct reports and performing functional manager roles such as staffing, recruiting, timecard approval, and performance reviewsMaintain high levels of engagement among team members and support their career developmentInteracting with internal program leadership and customers on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizationsProviding guidance and oversight to employeesDemonstrating entrepreneurial spirit, self-starting capabilities, and the ability to challenge the status quoFocusing on customer satisfaction, with proven leadership, excellent communication skills, and a background in change management

Salary Range: $118,100.00 - $177,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
