Position Overview: The Manager, Learning Design and Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of talent development at Anywhere. This role involves managing the end-to-end design and development of learning programs, collaborating with cross-functional project teams, and embedding innovative thinking and processes across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Talent Development within the global People Enablement Team, this role is focused on employee development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral science, evidence-based practices, and design thinking approaches to create impactful learning experiences. Additionally, this person will be expected to embrace and integrate advanced and emerging technologies, such as AI, into their work.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage End-to-End Design/Development Work Lanes (60%):
Lead the design and development of learning programs from inception (needs, strategy, etc.) to completion (high-level and detailed design), ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the values of integrity, heart, and teamwork. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives, moving as one team to achieve our shared vision. Use a strategic lens to evaluate current practices (where available) and design with a “what if?” mentality, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Design operational workflows that support program delivery to enable scalable and sustainable delivery, always finding better ways. Design program objectives and create robust measurement strategies to ensure objectives are met and impact/outcomes are clearly identified. Adhere to project management methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget, taking decisive action and delivering on commitments. Oversee all contract workers involved in design projects, ensuring the appropriate skills are procured for each task and contractors are optimally positioned to apply their expertise and fulfill their responsibilities.Future of Work Initiatives (20%):

HR Skills Development & People Enablement (functional) Summit Team Liaison/Committee Member (10%): Act as a liaison for PE skills development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and relentlessly focusing on talent. Participate in HR Summit committees to contribute to strategic planning and execution, empowering yourself and others to continually learn, improve, and thrive. Support for Ongoing Enterprise Development Projects: Provide support for enterprise-wide development projects, including those involving Generative AI and other emerging technologies, obsessing about growth and prioritizing value creation for customers and shareholders. Collaborate with ad hoc teams formed to solve for emerging business challenges. Program Facilitation, as requested: Facilitate learning programs on a rotational basis across the team, ensuring they are engaging, interactive, and aligned with adult learning principles.Key Duties & Approaches:
Research and Apply Behavioral Science: Conduct research on behavioral science to inform the design of learning programs, moving with integrity and earning trust from our customers every day. Apply evidence-based practices to enhance the effectiveness of learning interventions. Utilize Design Thinking Approaches: Employ design thinking methodologies to create user-centered learning experiences, always finding a better way to challenge the status quo and pressure test assumptions. Prototype and iterate on learning solutions based on feedback and data, being candid, curious, and agile. Quality Program Design: Develop high-quality learning programs that meet the needs of diverse learners, moving with heart and bringing a positive attitude to respect the significance of the work we do in people’s lives. Ensure programs are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the values of integrity, heart, and teamwork.Required Qualifications:
Education and credentials in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership development design and development. Strong knowledge of leadership development, behavioral science, and evidence-based practices. Proficiency in design thinking methodologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Skills:
Instructional Design Credentials/Certifications Experience with Generative AI and other emerging technologies.
