**Responsibilities**
**Manager - Technical**
**Role Purpose**
The Manager is responsible for the technical ownership of assigned Intranet products (e.g., technology, platform, or service). The manager fosters strong technical relationships with vendors and represents the products during design, development, testing, release, updates and ongoing lifecycle management. The Manager also ensures alignment of the products with vendor and internal roadmaps, as well as project, change management and enterprise architecture processes.
Main Responsibilities
+ Define the product strategy and roadmap, including alignment to vendor support and product roadmaps, as well as to emerging employee use cases.
+ Consistently determine how to maximize business value from product.
+ Support the analysis of business processes and functional requirements of the product.
+ Manage product dependencies and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
+ Monitor, manage and report on usage and impact of the product within the digital workplace.
+ Demonstrates a detailed understanding of service management processes, service level agreements and contracts, and assesses whether they are appropriate or require modification
+ Serves as an initial point of escalation for significant incidents that interrupt service availability or diminish performance
+ Coordinates and mediates cross-vendor/internal team delivery issues, as required
+ Reviews and approves root cause analysis for systemic issues within the production environment
+ Validates that corporate architectural guidelines, standards, policies (e.g., security, risk, etc.) are followed
+ Evaluates, designs and/or implements process or technology changes that enhance effectiveness and/or efficiency
+ Recommends technology improvement opportunities to the leadership and architecture teams for increasing IT value while decreasing cost of delivery
+ Lead and mentor a team of engineers or technical specialists.
+ Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

**Qualifications: Education and Work Experience**
+ BS in Computer science, engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
+ 5+ years of experience with IT service delivery management for intranet technologies, including oversight of IT managed service providers
+ Strong understanding of best-in-class and emerging technologies for intranet platforms and services
+ Experience in vendor interaction, negotiation and management
+ Healthcare provider industry experience is preferred
**Complexity of Work**
+ Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment

**Requirements**
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
+ 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
