Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Manager Tool Die Making 1 to join our leadership team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite in Clearfield, Utah.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs)Manager responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contractProvides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectivesFull working knowledge of procedures and practicesMakes decisions relating to accomplishment of daily work responsibilitiesMonitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as requiredMay perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groupsExecutes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own departmentAdministers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employeesAccomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employeesMonitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizations unitEnsures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience to include manufacturing, aerospace, design, tooling, tool engineering, manufacturing engineering, integration and/or fabrication industries/experiencePrior leadership experience in a managerial, lead, or supervisory capacityAbility to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and the special program access PAR in a reasonable amount of time as required by the business prior to the commencement of employmentThe ability to work any shift

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's DegreeActive Secret DoD clearance and Special Program AccessTool Die Making or machine/metrology shop experienceStrong background in assembly tooling, machine shop operations, welding, periodic tooling inspections, verifications, reworks, and VerisurfExperience working in automated tooling environments

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
