Job Description:

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the underwriting team, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery to distributors.

Conduct risk assessments up to the specified authorization limit to ensure accurate and fair underwriting decisions.

Ensure all new business tasks comply with the Company's New Business Policy & Procedures, Underwriting Guidelines, Rule Book, and service pledge to maintain high standards of quality.

Provide second-level approval for referred applications from Underwriters and contribute to the establishment of service pledges and performance indicators.

Support agents’ enquiries and deliver underwriting workshops to the MCV agency to enhance their knowledge and efficiency.

Maintain strong relationships with distributors to facilitate ease of doing business and ensure their needs are met.

Identify and execute process streamlining and service improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Ad-hoc Assignments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance or related discipline.

8-10 years of experience in underwriting, including 3-4 years in a supervisory role.

Proficient expertise in MCV business.

Proven experience in coaching and developing subordinates.

Extensive underwriting training experience.

Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) or ALU is preferred.
