Manager Volunteer and Concierge Services

Job Description:

The Volunteer Services Manager I is responsible for local implementation and management of volunteer services programs and initiatives as well as oversight of gift shop operations for assigned location(s). This position provides direction and oversight to the local volunteer services team to support the mission of delivering extraordinary care to our patients, guests, and the communities we serve.

Job Essentials
The Manager of Volunteer and Concierge Services is responsible for the day-to-today operations of the volunteer office and the concierge desk, providing direction, support and coordination of volunteers and associates. In this role, you need to know how to:

Oversee day to day operations of the volunteer office and the concierge desk including but not limited to maintaining volunteer/associate records, facilitating volunteer/associate work assignments.Manage the Volunteer and Concierge department planning, program development, human resource management, budget planning, customer satisfaction, patient experience, communication and compliance.Interview and place volunteers, schedule orientation of the service area and any additional training.Responsible for work schedules for volunteers and associates, ensuring sufficient staffing in the various areas of operations.Maintain and monitor Kronos/Oracle records for associates.Present and document staff meetings as needed and serves as a liaison between departments to ensure maximum and efficient usage of volunteers and hospital greeters.Ensure volunteer office and concierge desk are compliant with all state and federal regulatory compliances.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors DegreePrior volunteer leadership experienceCertification in Volunteer Administration1+ years of volunteer coordination

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$25.41 - $39.22
