Product Management Specialist
Supports the client for profit and growth for cards, from revenue to credit costs (including Fraud) and direct/allocated costs
Supports client for product management for cards, Audit, compliance matters and complaints support
Guides and supports in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy, with a focus on whole of bank value
Provides guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products in conjunction with acquisitions vertical.
Supports the effort to develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive product growth ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team in conjunction with acquisitions vertical.
Helps execute end-to-end solutions for all client segments resulting in superior customer experience.
Helps with training to internal stakeholders about the product offerings ensuring knowledge transfer to facilitate product roll-out.
Performs and analyses competitive benchmarking of the products vis-à-vis competition and the market and review pricing of the products periodically.
Support Strategy Execution
This role will be responsible for supporting:
· Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout lifecycle of a card customer
· Ensuring balanced growth addressing Credit, Operations, Compliance and Service Delivery risks.
· The design and development of best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team.
· Managing the delivery of regulatory changes so that they are delivered timely with seamless client experience and in a cost-effective manner.
Business
· Support to develop and implement strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with the business targets
· Support the initiatives related to customer engagement & balance build. This includes end-to-end management of campaigns across channels to grow spends and balances
· Support the credit card instalment plans strategy, including design and construct of payment plans, implementation of an effective sales strategy and optimizing revenues
· Work with Marketing and Analytics team on customer segmentation so that focused efforts can be made to promote usage of to existing customers
Product Innovation and Development
Supports in development of the consumer product strategies and value propositions of products in alignment with customer needs and market trends.
Provides guidance and support in services/products and sub-product performance and leads development based on market trends and customer needs.
Helps execute the product strategy to deliver consumer banking solutions to clients Consumer Banking customers.
Support execution of CVP enhancement of existing services solutions and helps develop and implement any required new product solutions with a focus on being digital 1st
Supports in monitoring and evaluating the evolving competitive and regulatory environments to ensure that products are competitive and meet clients’ needs.
Assists in the execution of strategic and tactical roadmap to enhance the products and services offered.
Collaborates across the cards team and across the stakeholders in order to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvement in order to address customer requirements.
Internal Collaboration
Works in collaboration with cross product client teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
Works with key stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver timely and effective level of client experience to customers.
Product roll-out
Supports the commercialization of new products and launch of new products and solutions, by recommending pricing, providing sales tools and training the sales team to ensure knowledge transfer resulting in successful sales in partnership with acquisitions vertical
Supports monitoring of product performance post roll-out and helps resolve product or sales issues to ensure continuous product improvement.
Execution and Implementation
Support in delivery of large programs for clients from initiation to benefit realization
Successful execution of projects across different clients / businesses, identifying and mitigating risks, solving issues, developing plans and ensuring they are implemented in line with agreed timescales, budgets and quality criteria, including examples of re-aligning scope and objectives during a program to ensure maximum value extraction
Develop strong bonds with clients that endure beyond a particular assignment, serves as a go-to resource for client staff, is sought out for knowledge of industry and firm
Identify new business opportunities to support clients with Mastercard solutions
All About You
• Experience in delivery of large, complex projects / programs of diverse size in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
• Domain knowledge of payments industry and hands on experience of program management, ability to manage multiple stakeholders under deadlines pressure.
• Able to plan and manage a multi-workstream program from inception to delivery providing support, direction and / or technical expertise to the project team across multiple disciplines and geographies
• Develop strong presence in the client organization extending beyond the immediate boundaries of the program
• Bring interesting & relevant industry perspectives, insights and ideas to key stakeholders in the client organization
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Able to define scope, timelines and budgets in a clear, concise language in writing and verbally. Able to report on issues, risks, progress, timelines etc. accurately and summarize effectively offering analysis, options and credible solutions
• Able to handle multiple priorities, work independently, think laterally and manage multiple issues under the pressure of conflicting constraints and limited resources. Perform and articulate cost / benefit / risk analysis
• Able to lead, motivate and develop a team of professionals
Your Education & Skills
Relevant experience of 10-12 years in cards product management
Regional experience preferred (i.e. GCC)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
Fluent local office language and English required, other languages desirable
Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of Project Management tools preferred
