Minimum qualifications:
+ 15 years of experience in a Technical Sales Engineering role in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing technical/engineering role.
+ Experience managing teams (manager of managers).
Preferred qualifications:
+ MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science.
+ 10 years of experience selling complex IT solutions to companies, with a demonstrated clear progression to major leadership roles.
+ Experience working with web/internet related technologies, architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and cloud productivity suites, including knowledge of solution architecture within web and mobile environments.
+ Experience and deep understanding selling an AI technology stack.
+ Familiarity with Google Cloud and Google Cloud AI offerings.
+ A strong market reputation and actionable list of network contacts, and ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences - from developer to CEO.
As the Managing Director, AI GTM Field Solutions Architect, you will guide Google Cloud sales and engineering teams in the incubation, piloting, and deployment of Google Cloud’s leading AI/ML and GenAI technology. This includes working with AI natives, innovators, large enterprises, and early-stage AI startups. You'll lead the global AI GTM Field Sales Architects (FSAs) and Applied AI Customer Engineering (CE) teams to operate efficiently and effectively with state-of-the-art solutions using Google Cloud’s infrastructure, including AI Accelerators (TPU/GPU). Additionally, you will play a key role in standardizing the AI GTM Customer Engineering operating model, scaling the team’s impact with customers by understanding their requirements, demonstrating Google Cloud technologies, designing technical architectures, and managing implementation and operations.
In this role, you will lead teams to identify, assess, and develop GenAI and AI/ML applications, using industry tools and techniques to solve problems. You will help customers utilize accelerators within their cloud strategy by running benchmarks for existing models, identifying opportunities for new models, developing migration paths, and analyzing cost-to-performance. Lastly, you'll collaborate with internal Cloud AI teams to remove obstacles and shape future offerings, including prioritizing product blockers with the product team to ensure GTM business cycles are unblocked.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$391,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Ensure strong collaboration between Sales and AI GTM Tech teams (Field Solutions Architect and Customer Engineers) to determine proper staffing levels to support business goals, establish job requisitions, and lead interview teams to fill open positions.
+ Organize, train, and equip the FSA team assessing their readiness and addressing gaps.
+ Drive Customer Engineering to lead technical sales, manage deployments, and enable channel partners.
+ Collaborate with Google Cloud Sales to identify and prioritize business opportunities, provide insights for technical success, and resolve product issues affecting customer satisfaction.
+ Travel 30% of the time.
