Finance & AccountingManages the teams responsible for analyzing, managing, and aggregating data submitted to bank regulators using Nasdaq’s AxiomSL ControllerView solutions in compliance with several data-intensive regulatory data collection submissions, including FR2052a (Complex Institution Liquidity Monitoring Report), SCCL/FR2590 (Single Counterparty Credit Limits), FDIC Part 370 Compliance, CCAR FR Y14 Reports (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review).
Oversees a 1B Line of Defense team responsible regulatory reporting transaction and conformance testing of key regulatory filings to bank regulators.
• Manages the team responsible for Adenza ControllerView configuration and automation of key regulatory filings which BMO or a BMO subsidiary are required to file with bank regulators in all applicable jurisdictions.
• Manages the team responsible for producing the daily H4 (Collateral and Pledging Report), I3 (Interest Rate Risk) and U3 (Pledging and Repos).
• Monitors the execution of a strong controls framework which includes fulsome change management, data/file handling controls, reconciliation controls, trending controls, variance analysis and escalation protocol to ensure the accuracy of all regulatory submissions.
• Manages a data analytics and quality team tasked with the development, implementation, and execution of an inventory of preventive and detective data quality edit check rules, along with distribution to applicable lines-of-business and operations data owners for research and remediation.
• Collaborates with leaders across business lines, operations, corporate areas, and technology to ensure the highest quality and most comprehensive data is consistently reported on a timely basis.
• Monitors regulatory reporting rulemaking proposals and final rules and leads efforts to ensure compliance with final rule changes to regulatory filings.
• Partners with internal Data Governance teams to develop and implement appropriate data governance processes, controls, and reporting
• Manages changes to the business rules by ensuring requested changes follow the approval process and through relationship management with Technology & Solutions to make the required changes.
• Drives continuous improvement to current systems and processes to make them more efficient and to meet future requirements.
• Organizes the department in an effective way and staff it with personnel with appropriate level of expertise.
• Sets context, assigns and monitors work of direct reports; provides performance feedback, training, coaching and mentoring as required in order to maintain a high performance culture and meet established goals and objectives.
Qualifications
• CA/CMA/CGA or an MBA in Finance/ Accounting
• 10+ years experience in senior roles in Finance.
• Excellent knowledge of US regulatory reporting requirements
• Strong knowledge of Bank information systems

Please note the target base salary range for this specific position is noted as a range from $180,000 CDN to $200,000 CDN.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
