The Managing Director, Vaco Technology, will lead the sales and delivery effort for the greater Houston metro area.  This position will be responsible for building the Vaco Technology brand, pipeline, and client base by selling and delivering consultative solutions, direct hire, advisory and staffing services. 

 

A Day in the Life

As a Managing Director, you are the field captain of the IT practice.  This individual is a strategic business thinker and team builder. Someone who is highly competitive with a servant leader’s heart. Leading through individual production, the Managing Director is the beacon of success by identifying market trends, attracting, and retaining top performing talent, developing high performing teams, coaching, counseling, and teaching.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Set examples for all in the office with pace and intensity of personal production. Establish and execute a roadmap that aligns with growth objectives for the Technology division. Sell and promote Vaco’s technology line of business by attracting new clients and consultants as well as building on-going relationships to maintain base. Attract, retain, and motivate sales and recruiting talent. Working with producers to set realistic expectations, coaching and motivating talent to set producers up for success. Foster brand identity in local markets through social media, events, and public relations congruent with Vaco global marketing. Contribute to Vaco global by promoting cross location and functional sharing of Vaco best practices. The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only. Education/Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree; preferably in business/accounting/finance/audit/IT or MBA. Minimum 10 years’ experience within technology staffing and/or consulting, contract, or permanent placement sales with progressive responsibility. Established reputation and network within the IT community in your respective market. 

 

 Technical Skills:  

Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite Experience with Bullhorn preferred.

 

Travel:
