Job Summary

 

The Managing Director, Account Management is responsible for leading a portfolio of client accounts. The role is responsible for managing multiple domestic, regional, and global accounts either directly or indirectly. It is responsible for developing and driving the strategic plan for each client account and meeting and improving client satisfaction (through the Net Promoter Score measure) and financial targets, including growth and margin targets, key people metrics, and operational metrics. The role is the key interface to global business functions.

 

This role will be a key member of the region’s senior leadership team, with a designated number of direct reports in account leadership roles.

Key Accountabilities

 

Business strategy, leadership and management

·         Contribute to the overall business strategy of Work Dynamics.

·         Develop a strategic plan to retain and grow the portfolio of accounts.

·         Be accountable for the profit, loss and growth of the portfolio.

·         Be accountable for the operational metrics of the portfolio.

·         Ensure the vision and strategy of the region are implemented.

·         Participate in external business associations and industry forums to represent JLL.

 

Client management

·         Establish and maintain effective multi-level relationships with clients and gain their trust and respect.

·         Provide governance and oversight to the client accounts.

·         Work with other global business functions to successfully deliver our contractual obligations to clients.

·         Develop innovative strategies to ensure year-over-year growth for the accounts.

·         Ensure client business plans/account plans are aligned with client objectives and well implemented.

·         Meet C-Suite senior client executives and client real estate leaders to share thought leadership and present solutions to position JLL for growth opportunities.

·         Achieve reference status with all clients, demonstrating best-in-class service delivery that can be leveraged to expand and grow the business.

·         Proactively drive teams to prepare for all client renewals – striving for a no-bid renewal and/or ensuring successful client account retention.

 

People Leadership

·         Create a high-performing, integrated team committed to delivering exceptional client results.

·         Critically analyse Account Managers/Directors’ strengths and areas of opportunities, building that feedback into actionable development plans.

·         Frequently discuss their performance progress and developmental goals with each Account Manager/Director.

·         Manage succession plans and Account Manager/Director rotations in a proactive and structured manner to avoid client disruption.

·         Be responsible for building our talent pipeline and networking with diverse external candidates to improve the workforce talent.

 

Sales and Growth

·         Work with Sales functions to identify opportunities for account growth and conversion.

·         Look to solicit new business, scope and services, skilfully negotiate pursuits that result in mutual interests and build solid business relationships to generate new and ongoing business growth.

·         Support pursuits by providing operational input to the Solutions Development team and attending new business pursuit strategy meetings and client pitches.

·         Inspire and motivate toward new and stretch opportunities outside one’s comfort zone to evolve as a leader.

·         Work with the Solutions Development team to leverage external networks to further sales and business development efforts.

·         Contribute to the geo’s strategic plans, leveraging growth initiative tools and strategies of the organisation of the account; plans should ensure any business risk is eliminated and stretch growth is achieved.

Qualifications / Experience / Education:

 

·         This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a broad range of business experience acquired through previous work experience.

·         Posses at least 10 years of relevant work experience
