Key Responsibilities:The Managing Director (MD) of Services Engineering is responsible for leading the line engineering, heavy maintenance engineering, tooling and component repair shop engineering teams to support United’s global fleet of aircraft. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvements in base and line engineering to reduce aircraft out of service time, determining engineering solutions for out of service aircraft and aircraft in scheduled maintenance, as well as supporting our component repair shops. This MD will own the strategy for United’s Services Engineering teams, managing AOG support with the OEMs and proposing solutions for United’s fleet and business needs. This MD is expected to work cross-functionally across United Tech Ops for problem resolution and continuous improvements.
This function is a critical role within United’s Engineering Reliabiltiy organization within United Technical Operations and the MD will be required to provide regular updates to senior leaders.
The MD can be based in IAH or CSC (Chicago). IAH is preferred.
