You will lead the BioPharma Product Testing laboratory in Slovakia, driving both strategic growth and operational excellence, and ensuring the success of the business through exceptional leadership.
What team will I be part of? You will be part of the BioPharma Product Testing team based in Bratislava or in the surroundings area, reporting to the Sub-Regional Business Line Leader, Central Eastern Europe.
As the Managing Director, you will:
+ General Management: Lead the operations according to Eurofins Leadership Charter, fostering an environment of communication, creativity, and collaboration. Support the Sub-Regional Business Line Leader in the development of strategic plans, budgets, and business initiatives.
+ Corporate Strategy: Develop strategic plans for service and product portfolio optimization, sales, and business growth. Focus on revenue growth through enhanced inter-company business and cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories in Europe.
+ Operations Management: Oversee the full P&L responsibility. Drive operational effectiveness and improve business results by optimizing processes and IT tools. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and manage quality control across the business.
+ Business Development: Lead business development efforts, focusing on market position, growth, and driving sales activities across Slovakia and neighboring countries. Implement strategies to expand capacities, including laboratory relocations and new site development.
+ People Leadership: Recruit, motivate, and develop leaders for each business unit. Set clear goals, manage performance, and create an environment of continuous development for your team.
Are you our kind of extraordinary?
You have a strong ability to drive operational efficiency and business growth, with a passion for leading teams, boosting sales, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in the Life Sciences sector.
+ Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the industry, with 3 years of full P&L responsibility. Proven leadership and business development experience in the Life Sciences industry, ideally in a competitive, low-margin environment.
+ Education: Undergraduate degree or Master's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or Business Administration with relevant Life Sciences experience. A Master’s or PhD is preferred.
+ Skills: Strong entrepreneurial mindset, financial acumen, and knowledge of cGMP requirements. A successful track record in fast-growing businesses and a hands-on attitude in leadership and financial management.
+ Languages: Slovak or Czech mother tongue and fluency in English is required.
