**JOB REQUISITION** Managing Director ES **LOCATION** NEW YORK MIDTOWN **JOB DESCRIPTION** Robert Half Executive Search (RH ES) has experienced significant year over year growth and are seeking a Managing Director (MD) to join the team. In this boutique-like environment, the MD is focused on business development efforts to obtain retained search engagements with clients and manage the overall engagement delivery process. In this role, s/he will build a trusted advisor relationship with clients which includes, understanding their business, culture, and talent acquisition needs; sourcing, screening and managing candidates through the interview process; and as the subject matter expert, providing consultative advice and guidance on executive search best practices. The MD will oversee and drive the search engagement process which includes client management, search strategy development, position specification development, candidate assessment, offer negotiation and onboarding facilitation. Cultivate and expand trust-based client relationships with executives and secure search engagements by: + Building a collaborative network with colleagues across all Robert Half’s practice groups to leverage client introductions. + Cultivating relationships with Protiviti Managing Directors, Managed Solution Vice Presidents, and Strategic Account Vice Presidents in your local market and geography to facilitate introductions to existing clients. + Providing exceptional service and nurturing long-term relationships with clients and placed executives, fostering repeat business and referrals to other executive leaders. + Leverage existing client relationships to gain introductions to and establish connections with potential buyers within their organizations. + Participating in local professional networking organizations that bring together C-level leaders and Board members to connect with new clients. + Following up on senior and executive-level openings identified through lead sources such as shortlisted candidate update calls, placed candidate calls, reference calls, and Salesforce. + Collaborate closely with other ES Managing Directors to jointly pitch on roles. In addition to growing your client base, you will proactively manage the search execution process for active searches by: + Acting as the project manager and providing leadership throughout the entire search process. + Negotiating terms and facilitating the signing of search engagement letters (SELs). + Leading client kick-off meetings and conducting weekly status calls; present candidate profiles and progress reports to client and educate and advise on their selection. + Collaborating with clients to capture position details, develop a position profile for each search project. + Initiating searches through our internal kick-off call, communicating the position’s scope and desired management competencies, style, and personality needs. + Lead and develop comprehensive targeted recruitment strategies, in tandem with the Principal/Associate and Research Associate. + Work closely with the Principal/Associate and set clear expectations so they can identify and evaluate potential candidates. + Interviewing and evaluating all final candidates on technical skills, behavioral traits, leadership skills, and a cultural/value-based match with the client. + Presenting final candidates to the client and offering advice on their selection for interview. + Partner with other Managing Directors to capture client engagements regionally and nationally. We are searching for hires in the Greater Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT). The salary range is $80,000 to $90,000. Ranges may vary given markets.
