Overview Impact the movement! When was the last time you experienced the impact of your work? As our Managing Editor in Medicine you will be responsible for both print and digital editorial initiatives in India, that produces $3-$4 million in annual revenue. How are you creating an impact? The incumbent will be based in India and will track progress of manuscripts from submission, through publication. You will be the “Feet on the Ground” and will visit with assigned authors who may be Faculty, Deans and Administrators. Also work with pharma on special requests by the Global Publisher and to create needed ancillary type material that can assist sales in closing business. A typical day might include: Interacting with assigned authors, which the Global Publisher has signed and be the “local” point person to answer questions regarding the project, format and timeline You will organize manuscript and work with the US Developmental Editors to turn over final files on assigned projects Build India specific content that has been deemed a strategic priority which is communicated by the Global Publisher Be fully responsible for the assigned projects which includes holding necessary focus groups, creating a reviewer channel and getting feedback, when necessary, on POC mock-ups We are looking for someone having: +4 years of experience in editorial content development and/or acquisitions, preferably in medical publishing Strong experience in author acquisition and a good network in colleges/universities of Medicine in India Proven experience in digital content development and product management Strong analysis, product development, management, and communication skills Why join us?
