Overview:
The Managing Veterinarian partners with the Hospital Manager to drive financial performance and general operations of the hospital and to cultivate a supportive and collaborative team environment. You will be supported and mentored by the Divisional Leadership Team through practice management training, reporting, and ongoing resources to lead a best-in-class clinic or hospital. The managing doctor will be responsible for:
Advancing Medical Care through establishing protocols, oversight, and quality of care.Leading Staff and Practice by providing mentorship and support.Financial Responsibilities to aid in the success of the practice.Growing the Practice through innovative change and services as well as community involvement.Skills and Basic Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Tennessee (prior to starting at the site). Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics. A desire to progress veterinary medicine based on industry-accepted research, medical protocol and equipment advancement, and evolving methodologies and treatments. A passion for continuous learning. Partners with Practice Manager on the medical and financial management of the practice ensuring best-in-class patient and client experiences while maximizing the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the site. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Delegates tasks and achieves results with hospital team members. Makes decisions confidently and effectively. Leads employees by coaching, correcting, developing, and motivating them to achieve success. Manages time and tasks appropriately.
