We are seeking an exceptional Mandarin speaking Applications Engineer in China to provide the technical link between our customers and our products.
You will work closely with our China based customer engineering teams to guide and generate technical solutions that will enable them to incorporate our touch-less haptics and hand tracking tech into their products and solutions. Examples include XR headsets, automotive hardware, and standalone exhibit experiences.
This is an exciting and influential role that will allow people to engage with the digital world without touchscreens or controllers!
Responsibilities:
Manage the first line technical interaction and support with our customers’ engineering and product teams in China Lead customers on a technical journey from evaluation and exploration to integration and production Work with your colleagues to design and develop quick-turnaround software to prove feasibility and integration in new use cases or markets Scope new projects and prepare and present technical proposals, highlighting the intricacies involved in the solution Be the trusted technical bridge between external and internal product and engineering teams designing application solutions and formulating the product specification Work with customers from use case exploration through to concept development and design integration Use technical insights gained from working with customers to make recommendations for future product strategy and engineering attention
Experience and Skill-set
Essential written and spoken Mandarin skills to a high standard Degree in computer science or related fields of study Experience working for a multi-national company Experience and ability to code - C#, C++ or similar languages preferred Experience with game engines - Unity or Unreal. Exceptional combination of technical and customer facing skills Proven experience helping customers integrate new technologies into their product and identify technical solutions Able to manage strict timelines with multiple projects Self-starter capable of working on own initiative
