Conduct a literature review on simulation and process optimization methods in additive manufacturing, specifically focusing on Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) processes Define the specific gaps in the field Develop a simulation for the WAAM process Validate the simulation on real process data from experiments Define an optimal strategy for the process based on the simulation You will work within a team which includes engineers, students, developers as well as experts for the manufacturing processes

What you need to make real what matters.

Currently you are enrolled in a master’s degree program in mechanical engineering, physics or a related subject You have a good knowledge of manufacturing processes You have experience in using simulation software (like Ansys) and in a programming language like PythonExperience in building simulation models is an advantage Personally, you impress us with a high level of initiative, analytical thinking as well as a structured way of working in a team environment

Duration of the internship is based on university regulations.
