The role
As a Training Instructor Marine Engineering you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be providing specialist engineering and nuclear expertise to the training design process. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of the recently established Babcock Skills business, which provides a wide range of engineering training courses.
Day to day you’ll collaborate with our Astute-class Training Service team to help train the current and next generation of Submarine Service engineering professionals. This will involve:
Deliver classroom and simulator-based training to Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operators and Marine Engineering Equipment Maintainers Collaborating with the training design team to update the courseware based on technical changes, and identifying the impact of those changes Providing SME support to evaluate technical data and notifications of change on existing Marine Engineering and Nuclear Steam Raising Plant courseware Delivering additional training (Confined Space, Working at Height, etc.) to students outside the ACTS program, ensuring it meets prescribed quality and cost standards Supporting the routine review and revision of the courseware.
This role is full time working 37 hours per week, and will be based on site at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh.
