Minimum Qualification Standards:
Education : Bachelor's degree
Training : 8 hours of relevant training
Experience : 2 years of relevant experience
Eligibility : Career Service Professional)/2nd Level Eligibility
Preferred Qualification (Competency-Based)
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferably in Vocational Education or
Industrial Technology Education
Training : 8 hours of relevant training on any of the following topical areas:
orientation on vocational rehabilitation; laws on persons with
disabilities and sensitivities to persons with disabilities, effective
communication skills for PWDS, Teaching Methodology (TM)
Other Qualifications : TESDA National Certificate (NC) II in Hilot Wellness Massage or
Licensed Massage Therapist and National TVET Trainers
Certificate (NTTC) Holder
Experience : 2 years of experience relevant to implementation of social welfare
programs and services; exposure to social welfare residential-based
and community based program implementation; exposure to vocational
rehabilitation or vocational skills training facilities.
Primary Tasks:
Under general supervision, performs professional and technical functions of the assigned vocational training course;
Directs a small group to provide vocational skills to the blind and other disability categories in a vocational rehabilitation center setting;
Develops training modules that are appropriate to foster competencies of clients and corresponding appropriate tools for assessment;
Evaluates trainees in the performance and progress of their vocational skills training;
Provides instructions to the persons with disabilities or special groups with personality and emotional problems using special and adopted methods, techniques and strategies;
Takes periodic progress reports of clients;
Collaborates with other rehabilitation team members in the evaluation of the clients;
Coordinates with vocational training providers and other industry partners for the on-the-job training of clients.
Assesses performance and provides technical assistance to supervised staff;
Attends meetings, seminars, conferences;
Performs other related functions.
