One (1) slot for MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT OFFICER I (MDO I) (re-published)

Minimum Qualification Standards:


Education :       Bachelor's degree 

Training :       None Required

Experience : None Required

Eligibility :       Career Service Professional)/2nd Level Eligibility


Preferred Qualification (Competency-Based)

Education :  Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job

Training     :  8 hours of relevant training on any of the following topical areas: orientation on vocational rehabilitation; effective communication    skills for PWDs

Other Qualifications :  NC II Holder of any course

Experience :  2 years of relevant experience

Eligibility :  Career Service Professional/ Second Level Eligibility

 


Primary Tasks:

Conducts placement assessment with PWDs to ascertain in the following information: - identifying data, skills, knowledge and abilities by work experience, traits and personal characteristics for the purpose of securing selective job opportunities;

Conducts pre-employment activities to all clients (Social Groupwork Treatment Plan IV - Job Seeking Skills Training, Employment Guidance and Job Coaching sessions);

Conduct of sessions on work value, entrepreneurship and job search training for PWDs;

Facilitates the conduct of skills demonstration activities for clients as their exposure to actual work set-up;

Conducts identification, negotiation, and solicitation of job vacancies to various industries for clients open -employment;

Makes referral letter to partner stakeholders for possible provision of livelihood/ capital assistance to clients and graduates;

Makes endorsement letter to employment partner which indicates the skills possessed by the client and their important traits;

Conducts follow-up and monitoring of job placed clients;

Drafts communication relative to placement service and maintains records of clients;

Performs other related tasks as maybe assigned.
