**Machinist** Ultimate LLC is looking to hire a **Manual Machinist** for manufacturing work in the **Shreveport, LA** area. The pay range of a Machinist is **$20-25** per hour based on experience. The majority of our position’s hours range from 45 to 50 hours a week. Machinist applicants must have a personal vehicle and be prepared for work up to 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all Machinist with no week in the hole. **Ultimate Machinist responsibilities** + **Set up and operate machines** : Set up, operate, and disassemble manual, automatic, and CNC machine tools, such as lathes, mills, grinders, presses, saws, drills, and more + **Read blueprints** : Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files + **Make precise measurements** : Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and bearing bore gauges, to ensure accurate dimensional tolerances + **Perform machining operations** : Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications + **Test and inspect** : Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects + **Make modifications** : Present finished workpieces to customers and make modifications if needed + **Maintain safety** : Maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable safety requirements and considerations + **Provide reports** : Provide all required reports and/or correspondence **Ultimate Machinist requirements** + Ability to read technical drawings & a tape measure + Time management skills + Minimum of 4-years Machining experience preferred + Problem-solving and mathematics skills + Reliable and self-motivated + Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills + High school diploma or equivalent + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. **Why work for Ultimate LLC?** **At Ultimate, we take pride in providing our craftsmen with benefits they can’t find at other staffing firms such as:** + Weekly pay every Thursday + Dental and Vision Coverage + Referral bonus program + Pay increase based on quality of craftsmanship + Tool purchase program + Paid OSHA training
