Manual Tester (Database Testing)

Job description

ABOUT THE JOB:

Support the timely delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) enhancements as requested by the business Engage in discussions with the development, business, and testing teams to understand requirements and enhancements to be delivered Bridge the gap between business requirements and user acceptance tests. Utilize test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, and Karate. Track outstanding defects and collaborate with the Scrum team to resolve issues promptly within the agreed timeline. Proactively seek continuous improvement in test coverage and execution. Actively participate in scrum activities and meeting discussions, including sprint planning, daily stand-up, and retrospective Prepare testing status reports and closely collaborate with business users. Provide overall department support for governance and communication. Monitoring of performance, KPI management and support quality reviews. Support improvement initiatives to continuously improve capabilities, productivity, and efficiency of the Quality Engineering function. Support of knowledge management to facilitate sharing knowledge.

ABOUT YOU:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fields. Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and techniques, including test case design, execution, and defect reporting. At least 2 years in manual testing of software applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Hand-on experience of various testing techiques such as data testing, API Testing, functional testing, etc. Ability to interact with database such as SQL, MongoBD, etc. Experience with tools like JIRA , JIRA-Xray, Confluence, Sharepoint. Working experience preferably in the insurance or financial industry. Experience with automation test is a plus. Good command of English to collaborate with team and stakeholder.
