As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement manufacturing processes to achieve production of complex aircraft engine components. You will , collaborate with your colleagues to create processes that meet drawing requirements, have high throughput, minimize deviation/scrap risk, and meet target rates of production required.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Design and validate the production router and documentation, based on company procedures and customer requirements

Provide manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new products

Apply design-for-manufacturing principles, working with a cross-functional team to ensure lean capability and a stable process

Work with manufacturing engineering colleagues and shop floor personnel to validate processes, tools and equipment

Design and validate devices, tools and equipment for the manufacturing and development of new products

Coordinate with outside vendors, who may be contracted to build manufacturing equipment and/or outdoor processing operations

Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reduction in designated areas

Assist supervisors and production workers in resolving manufacturing process issues through root cause nudge and permanent corrective actions

Responsible for achieving all aspects of manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, initial yield and productivity

Qualifications/Requirements

Master's Degree in Engineering

Good knowledge in interpreting technical drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes

Fluent English and Italian

Work visa in accordance with local regulations is required

Desired characteristics

Lean manufacturing training

Good knowledge of casting technologies

Good knowledge of the CAD (Computer Aided Design) system.
