Work Hours:  Night Shift (7PM- 7AM on 2-2-3 work schedule)

 

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating activities for the shift supervisors as it relates to shift paperwork, SQF compliance, and daily shift activities by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all shift paperwork (production and SQF related) is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Examples include first case verifications, sanitation documentation, &5S daily check sheets Responsible for completing CAR’s (Corrective Action Report) and Foreign Material Log in a timely manner in the absence of the QA Technologist Check and document daily call-offs and inform supervision of this information. Responsible for the crewing and weekly overtime requirements and review with shift supervision Responsible for all tracking reports and information in Dayforce software Responsible for entering work notifications as needed. Assist with the daily tracking of KPI’s and Shift Variation Reports Responsible for compiling and submitting the daily end-of-shift report. Understand and implement Blue Tag Process as needed. Complete all required trainings, including Green Belt and Alchemy trainings. Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives. Ensure WIP, Bulk, and Rework procedures are followed and assist in keeping areas organized and product is timely used or removed.

Relationships/Contacts

Responsible for the initiation of non-conformance and rework procedures in the absence of QA Technologist Ensure customer complaints are answered and corrected for shift, including required training completion. Assist Supervision with documentation related to events, employees, or any circumstance relevant to the shift. Actively participate in plant safety initiatives, including the Safety Committee.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Required 1-2 years related experience in a progressive manufacturing setting desired. This position requires proficiency of the English language (reading, writing and speaking English). 

Required Skills/Abilities

Read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Strong computer skills required. Knowledge of food GMP’s a plus Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience a plus

Higher Education Must be proficient in MS Office Honesty, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and follow documented work procedures. Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Displays a positive attitude. Written communication must be presented clearly and effectively. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Must be able to read, write, understand, and train on procedures, policies, and other company documentation that is presented.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must

occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25

pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
