About the Role:In this role you will lead manufacturing and supplier quality at KT. In this role, you will lead supplier and JDM activities that will assure that products meet design and process specifications consistently. You will be hands-on and lead our engineering team to ensure the implementation of data driven decisions and proven processes by utilizing engineering techniques and tools such as six sigma, statistics, predictive indicators, process validation, SPC, DOE, PFMEA, PPM defective, root cause analysis, etc. You are comfortable working with specific component vendors all the way to end manufacturers. You are accustomed to setting clear quality metrics and driving it end to end every quarter.
What You’ll Do: Be an expert in advanced quality methods and protocol Lead cross-functional teams in Design for Quality initiatives Recommend product’s readiness at EVT, DVT, MPQ and MP gate exits. Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of standards, related disciplines, company strategy and goals to ensure a positive customer experience Participates in the ECR and ECO (Engineering change requests and orders) process to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction Make decisions using Acceptance Criteria and Product Specifications regarding quality of the products Lead the process of customer interactions on all Quality related issues including containment, root cause, corrective and preventative action Lead quality team to promote product/process/people quality Lead team for internal and external product quality issue handling, including SCAR, CAPA Initiate, implement, maintain and enhance proactive quality improvement activities to continuously improve product & manufacturing quality Lead, conduct and support the external and internal Audit What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of hands-on technical work experience in an engineering and/or product design validation quality role and high-volume, consumer electronics manufacturing 8+ years leadership experience in Quality, Engineering or similar technical area Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent required 8+ years leadership experience in Quality, Engineering or similar technical area Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and lead high quality teams Proven leadership in driving solutions to challenges Experience working with globally distributed teams Knowledge and skill to react to quality excursion in the factory and developing a path to un-block the factory Knowledgeable in production control processes, data analysis/interpretation GR&R, Cp/Cpk and correlation analysis Experience with any of the following: mechanical parts, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or consumer electronics high-volume quality manufacturing engineering Capability to plan DOEs, execute failure analysis and come up with reliability and quality improvement plans Familiar with ISO 9001, RoHS, APQP, PPAP, 8D, Control Plan or Six Sigma methodology will be an advantage Expertise in driving to root-cause through failure analysis (FA) through Eight Disciplines (8D), design of experiments (DOE), etc. to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through all stages of the product lifecycle In-depth engineering background and consistent track record in operations and manufacturing Deep experience with SMT, FATP.
