GENERAL PURPOSE
The manufacturing associate position assembles products and/or related parts in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work based upon customer demand and lean manufacturing principles to satisfy the customer and to provide high quality products delivered in a timely manner. Problem solves with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous 
improvement activities. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in other departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Complete required paperwork accurately to ensure record accuracy.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines.
Participate in improvement activities within the department or other relevant areas.
Perform at least 75% of departmental tasks at the required cycle time.
Rotate through department workstations based on business needs.
Inspect equipment and products as needed, reporting any safety or quality concerns to the department supervisor.

Read, understand, and interpret written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies, and practices in English.

Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
Ensure regular and predictable attendance based on scheduled hours.
Perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Take on additional responsibilities as requested to support business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

Skills and Abilities
Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.
Required to communicate and to be able to see with or without correction.
