Our client in North Kansas City, MO, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Associate—wood Window Prep. This position's responsibilities include applying a protective film to the perimeter of the glass so that final clean-up after finish can be done with minimized risk of scratching the glass. The client may consider someone with carpentry experience of at least a couple of years.

The Day-to-Day:

Mask glass to protect it from paint and finish applications.Fill nail holes to ensure a smooth, finished surface that conceals the holes after sanding and finishing.Apply caulk to joints between the glass stop and the window sash to eliminate visible gaps once the finish is applied.Perform light sanding of window sash and glass stops for final preparation before finishing.Blow off all surfaces of window sashes, frames, and trim to remove dust, creating a clean surface for paint or stain application.Mask window sashes and frames at the junction between interior and exterior finishes to prepare for finish application.Assist with staging, moving, and hanging window sashes and frames, along with sweeping, trash disposal, and general cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaPrior experience in woodworking, particularly with windows or cabinets, is preferred.Strong attention to detail is essential for this role.Dependability and reliability are crucial traits for success in this position.
