Purpose of the Position: The Cell Leader leads operations within a manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in precision cutting processes, and a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The individual will lead a team of technicians and operators to ensure efficient operation of equipment, adherence to production schedules, and continuous improvement of processes to meet quality and cost targets. There are 4 Cell Leader positions open that will be based in our new state of the art facility in Hemlock, MI.
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
High school diploma or GED 2+ years of working experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of quality management systems, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing principles.Desired Skills:
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).Soft Skills:
Able to communicate equally well with various levels of the organization (engineers, production associates, and managers). Able to work in a team-oriented environment Self-motivated Good presentation skills Able to handle multiple priorities High commitment level Ability to communicate to managementKey Responsibilities:
Leads and coordinates the daily activities of the cell, including equipment setup, operation, and maintenance. Ensure adherence to production schedules and prioritize work assignments to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines. Monitor production metrics, such as yield, throughput, and downtime, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance. Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistency and reliability of the product. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. Investigate and address quality issues, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of the equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime. Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement equipment upgrades and process improvements. Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and prevent accidents or injuries. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures. Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among team members. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization within the cell. Lead Kaizen events, lean initiatives, and other continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and efficiency. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning among team members to drive operational excellence.Work Hours:
Rotating shift Managing a 24/7 plant structure, so occasional support when needed.

The range for this position is $55,491.00 - $76,301.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
