The Manufacturing Cleaning Operator performs material and instrumentation cleaning and sterilization in accordance with site SOPs. Supports shipping and receiving of all items that are outsourced for sterilization.  Ensures that all processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Health and Safety requirements. As well as properly dispose hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs material and instrumentation cleaning and sterilization in accordance with site SOPs.Supports shipping and receiving of all items that are outsourced for sterilization.Ensures that all processing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Health and Safety requirements.Responsible for accurately maintaining legible and accurate records of cleaning solution preparation, cleaning operations, and other procedurally required documentation to comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Systems Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Health and Safety requirements.Responsible for cleaning manufacturing materials and instrumentation within specified time frames using methods described in SOPs.Responsible for maintaining clean equipment in designated areas by tagging the equipment as clean, as required.Responsible for sterile preparation of items to be sterilized for Production use.Responsible for performing autoclave sterilization for prepared Production items.Responsible for alerting Supervisor or Group Leader of broken or damaged equipment or parts.Responsible for using measurement equipment accurately to prepare cleaning agents.Responsible for reporting discrepancies to the Supervisor or Group Leader.Support department and plant Safety goals by continuously demonstrating safe behavior.Maintain a clean and orderly work areaPerforms any other related duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

High School diploma or equivalent.Experience in Sterile Processing Department or equivalentStrong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills for email and data entryMust read, write, and speak in English, and communicate clearly and conciselyAbility to participate in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionUnderstand cleaning and sanitization techniques
