OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Manufacturing Coating Line Technician, you will be responsible for learning, understanding and operating equipment in our Magni coating line. The coating process utilizes a shot blaster to prepare pre-existing parts for coating, a dip spin to coat parts, and ovens to cure and harden the coating surfaces. Training will be provided to ensure an understanding of coating basics, the operation and capabilities of the line and its components. This Full-time position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to join our company, while exploring the numerous opportunities Fastenal has available. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Preparing parts for processing
o Operating a dip-spin coating machine
o Processing coated parts through the appropriate oven and thermal process to cure coating
o Packaging finished product for shipment to the customer
o Performing and documenting inspections on products
o Running multiple pieces of equipment at the same time
o Providing assistance to other employees when needed

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient computer skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail and quality
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior painting or coating work experience
o Demonstrate basic understanding of chemistry and its principals
