Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer (Traveling role)

Job Summary:
As a part of the Manufacturing Excellence team, you will be responsible for supporting plant operations in driving cost, material loss, and OEE improvements across the Legacy Ecolab network Manufacturing Plants. This is a Traveling Engineering/Project Management role, supporting a wide variety of functions within the Organization. -- Travel is expected 75% of the time.

You will lead efforts to improve operations leveraging our TPM tools and work with stakeholders to deliver improvement solutions.  You will help identify, scope, and execute projects with the plant operations team and deliver a pipeline of future projects.  Project timeline will vary but ideally will fall in 3-6 month timelines throughout the year.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will take the time to understand the existing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build a roadmap to manufacturing excellence.

Main Responsibilities 

Identify critical operational projects to drive cost, material loss, and OEE improvementsProject management of a portfolio on improvement projectsDesign and deploy new solutions for existing outdated data pipelines  Partner with the local plant team and regional TPM team in identifying projects, execution, tool deployment, and delivery of results  Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to enable manufacturing transformation within Supply Chain organization Train others in systems, tools, and processes  Lead automation of processes and analyses 75-100% travel depending on project location, and ability to work out of our physical sites while on assignment

Basic Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering2+ years experience in an analytical or business intelligence role, production management role, or project engineering roleExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with TPM tools – primarily AM, PM, and FIOperations financial knowledge and acumenAbility to create, implement, document, and continuously improve processes in a changing environment Projects demonstrating strong automation mindset Ability to travel at least 75% of the timeImmigration sponsorship not available for this role


Preferred Qualifications 

Training or experience in data engineering skills such as ETL, data warehousing, database systems, data analysis, and machine learning History of managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
